Abstract
From school year 2010/11 to 2012/13, the local youth service agency in Upper Austria started to establish a new kind of school social work, called SuSA. The implementation of the development process was accompanied by a scientific investigation done by the Institute of Sociology, Johannes Kepler University Linz. Divers methods were used like semi-structured interviews to study the stakeholders’ attitudes and online-surveys to investigate the cross-border cooperation of headmasters and teachers on the one hand and school social workers on the other hand. The aim of the article is a description of the stakeholders’ and institutional players’ expectations, their experiences in teamwork and to answer the question if there is a clear segregation of duties and responsibilities between the teamplayers.
