Abstract
Co-design aims to actively involve people affected by the system in its development. It is vital for the development of assistive technologies and technologies for aging in place to help ensure they are useful, usable, and accessible. This paper presents a meta-review of five review publications on co-design in projects developing technology for older people. It describes the phases in which people can be included, methods that are commonly used with older people, artifacts used in the process, as well as recommendations for applying co-design in this type of projects. As such, the paper can provide guidance for people wanting to apply co-design with older people for these types of technologies, both those with experience in co-design and those new to it.
