Limelight – Fostering Sociability in a Co-located Game

Abstract

We examine the requirements for sociability in games and assess their relevance for co-located play in a public space game. Particular focus is placed on the design of different player roles and a smooth transition between these roles. Observations from an initial public exhibition of the game are discussed and ideas for future work are presented.
