Abstract
In practice, most creativity techniques are still performed with “traditional” tools, such as
pen and paper, whiteboards and flipcharts. Due to developments in the field of computeraided
interaction techniques, the question arises whether a more specific use of such techniques
increases the efficiency and effectiveness of creative processes or foster creativity.
To gain further insight, a research team evaluated the performance of the creativity method
Systematic Integration of Solution elements using an experimental research design.
Thereby both "classic" (paper and pencil) and "digital" (digital creativity lab) conditions
were applied in the context of idea generation workshops.
