N2 - The paper describes how to fit noisy frequency responses using barycentric rational interpolation, followed with refinement by an approximation step. The adaptive Antoulas- Anderson (AAA) algorithm is modified to fulfil specific practical requirements in simulations of electromagnetic transients in power systems. Simulated and real-life examples help to explain the theoretical details and demonstrate the accuracy of the proposed method.
