An Automatic Algorithm in the AAA Framework for Fitting Noisy Frequency Responses

Abstract

The paper describes how to fit noisy frequency responses using barycentric rational interpolation, followed with refinement by an approximation step. The adaptive Antoulas- Anderson (AAA) algorithm is modified to fulfil specific practical requirements in simulations of electromagnetic transients in power systems. Simulated and real-life examples help to explain the theoretical details and demonstrate the accuracy of the proposed method.
