The integration of solar thermal energy at a mid-temperature level (up to 200°C) in industrial applications has an enormous potential. Developing a flexible simulation environment for various kinds of industrial processes is therefore one of the main goals of the present project work. A deep verification of the simulation results by setting up a modular hydraulic system including a concentrating solar thermal collector and matching measurement and simulation results will offer a unique reliability of the simulation.
