EAIR Online Summit: Increasing diversity competences of academic middle management – Where are you and where can we pick you up?

The workshop focuses on programme leaders in higher education, their role and profile and their influence on implementing diversity management and inclusive practice (IDM) at their institutions.
It highlights differences in discourses in various European countries: What seems acceptable in one country, may be considered inappropriate in the other.
The workshop presents findings from an international survey in an interactive format to find out where participants locate themselves with regard to the IDM discourse.
Critical incidents dealing with diversity issues will be discussed. Instead of providing pre-fixed solutions, rules or recipes, a process of reflection is encouraged that leads to reflected action in dealing with challenging diversity-related situations.
